My name is Maxinne Abuyuan. I’m the Chief Experience Officer (CXO) and co-lead of the digital Experience & Products practice at Wunderman Thompson Canada.

I’m based in Toronto, but live on the internet.

My career path has always been in DCX, with almost 15 years of experience design thinking. I’ve built industry-leading digital-first experiences for top national brands such as TD, Mazda, VW, John Frieda, Dairy Farmers of Canada, and Danone.

I advocate for intersectional design by focusing on innovation and inclusivity.

I push for experiences that anticipate the wants and needs of users.

I lead from a place of vulnerability, fostering a safe environment where teams can show up as their authentic selves.

I am a believer in the value of diverse leadership and not always “fitting in”. I’m motivated by my experiences of being the “only” and turning that into being the “first”.
